The application is capable of displaying notifications if a wireless device runs out of batteries or when other events occur. You may customize your Logitech mouse and keyboard fast and easy, on the same interface. Due to a recent update, Logitech SetPoint provides support for Windows 8 and for new Logitech devices. The software can be set to display notifications when updates are available or download and install them automatically. For example, Windows allows you to configure a maximum of 5 buttons on a mouse, but Logitech SetPoint gives you the possibility of customizing any mouse, even if it has more than 5 buttons. Moreover, Logitech SetPoint is more flexible than Windows when it comes to customizing your mouse and keyboard. You just need to click a few check boxes and the application lets you know if the batteries of your wireless mouse or keyboard are running low, if the volume changes or if a lock key has been pressed. It can also notify you of certain events. Logitech SetPoint is not limited to customizing your mouse and keyboard. Besides launching the developer's web page, for support, from the Information tab, you can also install a PS/2 driver and generate a system report. You can access general information, configure the application or customize your peripherals on separate pages, which you can access by clicking a series of navigation tabs, located on the left edge of the interface. Logitech SetPoint works on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 and it is available for both 32 and 64-bit operating systems. A modern day Internet connection should not have any problems with the 50 MB setup file, so you will not spend too much time downloading the file. The application is free and it takes a single click to install it. If you are using a Logitech mouse, keyboard or other devices, you can install Logitech SetPoint to configure them faster and easier.

Configuring hot-keys, assigning different functions to the F keys or customizing a mouse, in MS Windows, is not as simple as we would like.
